Lightfield makes a 3-1/2 inch sabot slug. ive shot the 3 1/2 inch lightfields. all i have to say is "ouch".

I have always believed that with slugs you need to have the shell length match the chamber length so that the sabot engages the rifling properly. I prefer using the shorter slugs because they are more than enough knockdown power. Has anyone ever fired regular rifle slugs meant for a smoothbore in a rifled slug barrel. I have some 2.75 Brenekes and Actives that heve been in my ammo box for years. The Brennekes shot very well out of my S&W 916T smooth bore 20" slug barrel. if you want to shoot consistant shoot 2 3/4 i killed a buck @ 180yds in Illinois using them with no prob. __________________ People for Eating Tasty Animals=P.E.T.A.

i always got better groups with 2.75" lightfields no matter what gun and chamber __________________ i love the sound of a crossbow being shot on a fall morning. it sounds like....VICTORY
