PM sent. I just bought my Troy Bilt in May from Lowe's. It's a 27 ton and splits both horizontal and vertical. Trailers quite well too. I only have about 10 hours on her, but my friend also has the same model a few years older and his is kicking @ss.
I think I paid $1350.00 for it all assembled. Actually, President Bush paid for it (stimulus check was used for the purchase). Wife asked in July if we received our stimulus check yet. What check?! I have always rented splitters before and decided to bite th ebullet and buy myself one. I only use the horizontal to make my kindling and mid-size cuts. Vertical for everything else. I get my wood cut to size and delivered free from various tree companies looking to get rid of wood. All I need to do is split and stack. Good luck. |
