we may have a dove season coming to us. the state just finished up the nesting part of the study. i think the mortality part will be this winter. our biologists are trying for us, don't lose faith in out f+g yet. __________________ united bowhunters of NJ

Joe the problem here in this state is they are classified as a song bird.
What is funnie is, if they open a season I think you will see the population increase. meaning farmers will do what other states are doing and that is making habitat for them like sunflower and other bird grains. this in turn will increase other birds like the song birds and quail as well. __________________ ACP Wildlife Control Services

Some of those big deep south jersey farms would do well by a season. __________________ "from my cold dead hands"

Doves are the #1 gamebird in America. I'm wrapping mine in bacon. __________________ "To be unarmed and therefore helpless in the face of evil is irresponsible and in fact complicit to said evil.
