Good luck to all of you looking for your first archery deer. Stick with it, it could happen when you least expect it.

This is my second season hunting (period).  It is also my second bow season.  Thus far, no deer.

On a side note, It is also going to be my first Muzzy season.

I have my shotgun test out of the way but think I am going to abstain from hunting shotgun this year.

We will see how the cards play out this year.  Good luck to all who have put in their time scouting etc!

good luck to all.to anyone who has not shot a deer with the bow.scout your hunting land at the same hours you would be hunting.scout by yourself in stelth mode.when you jump a deer that would be a great place to put up a stand.Make shure you are sentfree and practice as much as you can. if you do this you will shoot a deer.

Why? I see more deer on the Parkway than I do in the woods!

Got my 1st in 1973 with a recurve.  Browning something or another with wooden arrows made by a man named Chev with screw on Hilbre broadheads.  He used to sign all the arrows he may.  I still have 1 left.
Except for when I was 10, that was really my 1st year bow hunting.  As I remember you could only kill 1 deer, buck or doe with a bow and there wasn't any extended or winter bow season.

I lost the first deer I ever shot. It was my first day in the woods, ever. Opening day. 18 yard shot. I sent the arrow flying. Looked like a good hit. I think I bumped her by getting down to look, too early.

Ouch.  Bad penetration?  Low bow poundage?
