we've been shooting all summer. just got a two person ladder stand. she is ready for the mystical flight of the arrow!

she is 6, and mad the state won't let her shoot at a deer yet.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h149/ub1243/SUC50134-1.jpg
just have to tighten up the group a bit.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h149/ub1243/SUC50140.jpg

not be out done, my 4 year old got a couple shots in also.
http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h149/ub1243/SUC50143-2.jpg

we are still working on form.
my 6 year old will go on one hunt a week until the cold sets in, or the homework isn't done.

I love it when Dads include their little girls in their hunting life style, but I have to ask, are you sure a little girl of 6 is ready to see a deer go down.  As we all know it can be an unpleasant experience and I just wouldn't want her to get off to a bad start.  I am in no way trying to discourage you, I'm a women bow hunter myself.  We need more girls/women in the woods.

she has seen me dispatch coon with a .22. she also watches the hunting shows. i butcher my own deer, both the girls have watched this, also the skinning of furbearers. i think she is ready.
if any 6 year old girl is ready it is this one.
she catches fish and watches the fileting of them. she is not going to go Vegan on my watch

i used to get the "why did you shoot the mommy deer?"
after the QDMA speech, i got a OK, then off to play.

My wife saw the treestand pics and just rolled her eyes.  I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter, and she will be out in the woods as soon as she is old enough.  Good luck with yours!

That is fantastic!!  I love the pictures.  I have an 8 year old girl that has enjoyed pheasant hunting with me and she's going to be in the deer woods with me this year for the first time.

Thats awesome.  My Dad used to put me in a four point harness when I was as young as 5 and pull me up 25ft+ into trees to watch him bowhunt.  I would sit right next to him in a double set hang on.

I can still vividly remember the first time I saw him shoot a deer with his bow!  He fell asleep net to me and I tapped him on the shoulder to tell him a deer was coming.  He got ready and smoked the doe.  First time I ever saw a deer die, and ive been hooked since!
