Quote: Here's another good question that I just thought of for those in the know on PFID cards, I saw this in another denial thread and thought it is a really good question with the crossbow hunting coming to N.J. soon This follows from Title 18, Section 921(a)(20) of the United States Code. That provision states: "Any conviction which has been expunged...shall not be considered a conviction for purposes of this chapter, unless such...expungement...expressly provides that the person may not ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms."
Now if for what ever reason they grant you an expungement of your criminal records, possibly so you can get a decent job or maybe join the military or just so you can vote, or maybe somthing along those lines and yet still "expressly provide" that the person may not ship, transport, possess, or receive firearms. I'm guessing it must have been a pretty bad crime that was originally committed
The Quetion is; "Does this now mean that you legally "CAN" OR "CAN NOT" hunt with a bow or crossbow", since it is clearly not a firearm by definition ? this should be a good one ![]() __________________ Pete's Archery Service & NJH.com ProStaff ProFile

What types of offenses are considered disorderly persons offenses? in NJ ... a non-indictable offense, generally punishable by less than 6 months in jail, generally handled by a local municipal court __________________ We, The People, are all first responders.
