Delaware Valley Friends of the NRA is having their 2008 Annual Freedom Banquet
Friday Sept. 26, 2008 Quality Inn Grand Versailles Ballroom 531 Rt. 38, Maple Shade NJ 08052 Time:6PM Social hour; 7PM Dinner Choices: Prime Rib or Stuffed Flounder Live and Silent Auctions, Games, Drawlings, Door Prizes, etc. 100% goes to youth programs : 50% goes to Local New Jersey Youth Programs and Projects Friends of the NRA Flier Your name, address, nor your email will become part of the marketing campaign by the National Org. You will not receive mailings etc.. Donations range from a $25 donation and listing in program, on up to $1,000, full page color add in the program to underwrite various items. If you or your business underwrite items they are tax deductible. I have copies of the receipts. Door prizes are also welcome, I have paper work for those donationas also. Sponsor donations are welcome. See the flier for special offers and items. Front Page Sponsor Items, Auction Items Back Page Sponsor Items, Auction Items Visit Friends of the NRA Web Site for more info. There are raffle tickets for 20 various buckets containing different items ranging from fishing equipment, camping equipment, power tools, gun safes, targets, etc.. As well as other raffle, auction, or prize items like fishing trips, weekend get aways, guided hunt, a round of golf, flat screen, etc.. I also have tickets for: A Honda Quad Quad $20 each 3 for $50 (drawing OCT. 9 2008)Only 2000 tickets total $10 a chance to shoot sporting clays with the president of the NRA at Quinton Sportsmen's Club, Salem NJ. (drawing Oct. 18, 2008) If your organization or group of friends would like to get a table for dinner (prime rib, or stuffed flounder) it would be $380 for the table seating 10. This is cheaper, tickets are $40 each. The ticket money is not tax deductible, nor are the raffle tickets. If you want to donate, purchase tickets, or get tickets to sell please pm me, email me. Nice dinner, great people, just fun.
All monies go to the YOUTH!! We talk about kids and shooting. We discuss how we need more programs to get younger people involved in shooting, lets support this. The NRA is a great organization. This is the non political part supporting grass roots in many youth programs. Example: YMCA program started at camp teaching young kids how to handle a gun and target shoot. Money went to development of the program, guns, and the range. PETA and the anti's have a way to get children involved in anti hunting and anti gun systems.
We need to make sure children and the youth of today become gun owners and hunters of tomorrow. Help support the Friends of the NRA by donating, buying tickets, or attending the dinner. I am surprised. With the showing of support of some other organization on this site, this doesn't seem to be getting the attention others have. i have no quad tickets left;
i might be able to get more. we still need people to go to the dinner and support organizing youth shooting events in NJ. we still need underwriters for raffel items, donation money, donation sponsers, and donated goods or services. some are a tax write off. There will not be a political discussion at the dinner because of the fundraising and silent auction. Hunting packages Guns knives prizes food fun and 50% of the money stays in the local NJ range development, youth programs etc.. the other 50% goes toward national development. the time is approaching. Great items, fire arms, fun games, great dinner and people. There is also twp upland hunts donated by Giberson's Farm. Don't know if they are an auction or for Raffle.
Handguns, shotguns, many many items. We were fortunate that we had a few big spenders to make up for the attendance. I was out bid on a 20 Ga. semi auto that went for $300.00. Vic and Brian have done an excellent job.
we have 93 sold. Looking to get more. I tried to explain the money is for LOCAL YOUTH SHOOTING PROGRAMS. It is not for the NRA political arm. The money goes to youth programs, shooting ranges for kids, Eddie the Eagle.. etc.. no politics at the function, just food and fun. My first dinner like this. Oh, and I will be able to go to the southern dinner. I bought two tickets the night of the federation meeting.
