Are You wearing a Official Maine Poachers Shirt? I took a nice bear when I was there with the smokepole... Got me a Poachers shirt, too.

Unami,
Yup 3 weeks! I can not wait.
I will be rolling in Sunday afternoon and will be staying in one of the lakeside cabins.
Sam (Bam Bam) could not make it this year so I am bringing the Wife to video tape the hunt.
The only thing diferent is this year I will be using a bow.  If we could connect like we both did last year it would be fantastic. I will be picking up my mounted bear while up there. Can not wait to see Eldons work.
Let's get together for a beer...
See you in 3 weeks!
John

Thanks guys.

I'll be hunting with my son this year. I'll enjoy watching him shoot his first bear. Once he gets his bear then I'll be shooting my Ruger SR 454. I'll try for a coyote in the mornings.

JStep - We'll be having a steak and seafood fest down in Turtle Cove on Sunday night. It's the last camp along the lakeside road. Bring the wife down for some good chow and watch the sunset over the lake. Each year the crowd grows down there. It's a good time.

Sounds great...see you at the Cove.
Is it a organized event or just some folk hanging out?  Is it cost per man or should I bring something?

After the first few  days the gut pile gets some great Yote action.  I will have the 22-250 with me.
Don't know how the pelts are this year but a full Yote mount would be nice.
