Anyone know where to contract for some chukars for the 2008-2009 semi-wild season? We probably need somewhere between 150-300 total birds. Normally we get crates of about 10-50 birds at a time throughout the course of the year. Sometimes weekly and sometimes every other week. We used to get them from George at J&G in Hackettstown, but he's not selling to clubs this year.
Thanks ![]() __________________ Dog's on point... get ready!!!

Do not contact Bent Creek they get theres from NOVAk Pheasantry @ 215-536-7145. Jon these birds are the bigest and best birds I ever seen fly in my life. They truly are that good.
They are kept in big flight pens like there pheasants and this is why they fly like darts. I have gotten their birds and they are awsome. Bent creek gets birds from them I have been told. They are in Quackertown,Pa. They also have beautiful Melanistic birds and Ringnecks. They are resonably priced and these people are good breeders. Jon can you PM me your phone # I want to call you about something. |

The best birds I have found are at Marty's. http://www.zukovichgamebirds.com/directions.htm
It might be too far for you, but good flyers are worth the trip. Cat, I'm going to check out Novaks. |

| Yeah Cat, Marty has our kind of Setters, Tug Hill line believe. Real grouse hunters. Have you ever checked out the Grouse Ridge Website. You can spend all day looking at it. Lots of history there. | ||

Grouse Ridge Website Yes, Abby has grouse Ridge in her. I want to get another setter also one day myself soon. One thing noticed Abby has that lip spot same as Jerseys, Barry does. I wonder if thats a trait marking of their dogs at Grouse Ridge. I can look at Setters all day long. I was going to get a Setter once from some guy in WV. Jimmy Sutten anyone know him? He had a bird breeding buisness but some how he flew the coup and I haven't been able to find him for the past 2 years. He knew my dog and the Hot Point kennel Abby came from in Va. She's a Ryman but I was told she was a Ryman / LLewellin but came to find out she wasn't because she's big 61 pd.tall and long. And here I thought I had a Llewellin all along and was pissed when I found that out. Unbelievable all around great dog though and very beautiful. |

Not to hijack but what is going rate on pheasants and chukars? Cock and hen?? I am trying to get my Uncle to get back into this. He had awesome setup for years. Huge pen where they could fly and not get fat and lazy. Got out of it due to time. He is retired now. We will see.. He used to sell 2000 - 2500 birds a season. Mostly contracts from semi wild clubs. __________________ "from my cold dead hands"
