honda all the way bud.. u get what u pay for..... i have become a fan of the arctic cats bc of the independant rear suspension they run.... but i have had a honda since 1993 and it still runs... all my friends have hondas and ride them to where u would think they would blow up and the hondas still kicking... get the foreman or rancher and u will love it..

My vote is for the Grizzly I don't think the Kawasaki or the Polaris have a locking differential. My buddy has a Grizzly with a winch on it and he's always pulling the rest of us out of the mud or through some obstacle when we ride with him. He never gets stuck though, and I think it's cause of the locking differential on the Grizzly. He's also got the attachment for a plow, so he gets a lot of use out of it all year.

Suzuki King Quad...I have the Suzuki vinson 500 ....It handles like a sport quad, yet I do a lot of heavy utility work with it...I drove some of the other machines compared to the Suzuki...Totaly different feel,... They all felt weird compared to the king quad..

my fire company is doing a raffle for a brand new grizzly 450 4x4 quad retail value is $5850.00 and you get a visa gift card as well if you win worth $600.00  $20.00 dollars a ticket only 1,000 will be sold.

I think Kawasaki was the first to offer the selectable front diff when they introduced the Prarie 650 ????

So..... you hear Polaris is the way to go. Dirt is saying Honda all the way. NJDogs is saying Grizzly. Bowhunter swears by the Suzuki. I own 3 Kawi's.

In my opinion, you really need to do your homework on this. Almost each year, all the builders are changing/improving their specs to out-do each other. Its a crazy battle. Buy all the magazines and read their evaluations and their head to head competitions. They are not Consumer Reports, so take everything with a grain of salt. But you may find small differences between the machines ...... one may have sportier suspension, may have a more cushiony suspension, handle very steep downhills better, engine has more bottom end, or more top end. Any differences in the way their snowmobile transmissions act? You may see differences in the machines that matter to you and your riding.

I have 3 atvs, been riding since the days of the 3 wheelers, and I belong to a huge atv club in Pennsylvania --- mud bogs, almost too steep climbs, tight mountain trails. Everyone has all different machines there. And, no one model is broken down on the trail than the others --- we would know it. Polaris had to ramp up their quality to the Japanese machines, but that was 10 -15 years ago.

Just my 2 cents.

Good luck with whatever you buy. Strap on a quality helmet, and ride it like you stole it!

camo man. in times like weare in now it is tuff to survive. do yuo now what the price of fire fighter gear per fire fighter is ?  a helmet a nomex hood a jacket a pair of gloves pants are about $4000 per person not including the air pack we  wear that is about $9000 not including about $1200 to train the fire fighter to state standards. remeber we the voulnters dont get paid to get up at 3am to come to your house for a co2 alarm or fire. we do it to serve the tax payer. our fire company works very hard to fund raise in order to serve and protec you. town budgets have been crushed due to mr corzine and it is a shame that the fire and rescue service has to suffer. do you knowwhat a basic fire engine cost ? about $400,000 and a ladder truck is about $800,000 to a $1,000,000. just think about that next time your local fire comapny asked you to support them.

The ONLY problem I had,  was the machine just died.   It was a pinched spark plug wire.....it grounded to the frame under the gas tank......Polaris will replace it for free.  Electrical tape works too.

My Buddy Beef Has a Brute Force yes it has a locking diff its an absolute Beast. My Brother in law has the Grizz that is a great machine a tiny bit less power than the kawi but smoother ride. I have a Suzuki I love it. I AM not a Polaris fan we all had them back in 2001 and they all sucked.. There brake system is the worst too... That Brute Force takes off like a Banshee..

Can am makes a great machine. My buddy swears by them. He is the biggest "gear head" I've ever met. He rides hard every weekend and really puts them through the wringer.

He rolled his last one down a mountain at Tower City PA. The machine was almost unrecognizable. He packed it up and drove to the Can Am dealer and got another one the same day.

Ive been riding well over 20 years. I was always a yamaha guy. I had the grizzly 660. We do a lot of poker runs and honestly I was very unhappy with the grizzly. The quad has tons of power but I always felt like I was fighting it thru the trails. I had a Honda Foreman before getting the griz and was very happy with it, I sold it with 3500 miles on it and it still ran like the day I got it. I now have another foreman I use to plow my driveway with and also have a 07 Honda Rincon with EFI and man this thing is unreal. I rode all the other big bore quads except for the Canam and I have to say that IMO, none even come close to the Rincon. It is an unbelievable machine in every catagory, the power is awesome and the handeling is in a class all it's own. Most of my friends own Polaris 700's and they all say they like this honda more then their machines.

Ride them all and make your own descision. All are great machines but the Rincon is exceptional. If your local to West Milford your welcome to try out my Foreman and Rincon.
