Might be a silly question but what type of socks work best to keep your feet cool during early season hunts. I was thinking just plain old white cotton socks would do the trick. Im going to be wearing Muck Boots and are good at 70 degrees and below but I can imagine they can heat up pretty fast in September. __________________ Back straps..It's whats for dinner.

Wear socks that wick away the moisture. I wear underarmour ankle socks with my rubber boots during the hot weather...Also moisture wicking socks keep your feet from getting cold in the winter. Wet cotten from sweating feet in cold weather is a no no. __________________ Member FMBA local 21

Don't wear white socks, It will get their attention if you move you foot to take a shot. Trust me on this.![]() __________________ The 4 seasons - Almost Summer, Summer, Still Summer and Hunting Season

I got a pair of Mucks last year and hunted the early bow with them - didn't get hot - white sweat socks will be fine. That said I will be getting some moisture wicking socks for this year since it sure can't hurt.

Stay away from cotton socks. Go with under armour or the lightweight smartwool socks . I know what your thinking....wool socks in hot weather?? But until you try the lightweight smartwools you can't believe how comfortable your feet will be. I wear them all turkey season and early bow season.__________________ Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today.
