This is the same population estimate as 2003. Yet sows are having as many as 5 cubs a year. BS

Five bears per square mile is an awful lot of bears if you ask me.

Wonder if the state estimates the bear count the same way the do there budgets? No where near close.

Its way to many! On average a bear has a home range of 50 square miles. In NJ that is compressed a bit but still in the 20 - 30 square mile range. You do the math. Its insane to ever have 5 bears per square mile. Its not safe
