I went for a drive on sunday morning out in readington/whitehouse area.  I made a right off of rt22 next to the walmart and there was this beautiful farm there.  I just wanted to know if anyone here hunts with Island Farm Bow and Gun and how do you get access to such a great looking piece of property

Stay away      very tight group of guys that work and hunt the land.  and patrol the heck out of it. They have many property's in the area they know alot of farmers. Each piece goes under a differant club name.   trust me not even worth looking into. if you did not grow up with these guys you are not getting in.  That Island road piece is over 700 acres and only 5 guys hunt it. deer only no birds.    LOts of Cameras. They will post your picture in sporting goods stores and every cop will have your pic if you show up on there game camera.    Not worth it

i have known 2 of the 5 guys for over 25 years. i can not get in on this piece, however thru them i have gotten some great sattelite pieces.  The farmer on island road has been offered over 20 thousand from clubs too hunt that land and without skipping a beat says no every time.  these 5 guys work at the farm doing all the landscaping and maintainance all year long. thru their hard work they have gotten many spots in zone 8. they know everybody. I get invited on their late season deer drives and the amount of deer we see is crazy. they are very selective

Sounds like very smart guys that know how to protect their interest.

Good for them that they can maintain their preserve.

They defiantly deserve that property then...Good for the farmer for not selling out...Its good to see elbow grease being rewarded hunters not just top dollar big fancy gun clubs...

Let me say it again...

Its good to see elbow grease being rewarded instead of dollars from a big fancy gun club...
