NJ Hunter / New Jersey Hunting / Hunting Clubs & Land Leases / 220 Acres for lease in Upper Freehold Twp
Posted:  04 Jul 2008 7:04 AM
I am considering on leasing my farm in Upper Freehold Twp. I am looking for a responsible hunting club that will help post the property and keep tresspassers off. The property is 45% fields and the rest woods. It is bordered with 120 conserved acres. It is a very private peace of property. The deer hunting is great. I would like to know what clubs would be willing to pay.

Please post your comments so I can see if this is something I want to do.

We have a great group of Professional Outdoors-men and we currently lease 150 acres in West Amwell, 200 acres in Jefferson, 130 acres in Belvidere and 130 in Long valley.  Insured and we take very good care of the properties!

You should be able to get about get between 5 and 8 thousand for that property depending on the deer quality, and deer density, and huntability of the acreage.

Wow...Is that what people pay to hunt ?

I vow never to cut a check to hunt, until I'm buying my own land out west.

Great offer, though. Hope someone jumps on it.

A few years back we were out bid on a piece of property. After 2 years the owner came back to us because of the complaints he had gotten from his neighbors and the police. Plus the mess with litter & beer cans. Be careful who you lease to. Money should not be the only issue.

If you have quality animals there you might be able to get as high as $20,000.00 thats correct you herd it. I know 10,000.00 could be fairly easy and all you have to do is find the right group of men with money and your property is spoken for and the average working man losses out.

Big bucks talk anymore, I wish they didn't but they sure seem to now a days more than ever.

Not a chance unless it comes with a house with an indoor pool and a bowling alley.

Thanks

JR I know of a property thats large in Hunterton now thats 20,000.00 and the owner wants more. Several for 10,000.00 all depends what runs your woods in some areas that dictate the price. Will be interesting to see what she sells for to highest bidder.

The best propertys are worth the most money when you have it to spend.
