Do we have a date in stone for this yet? When we do, I will be reserving a dog from Gibersons most likely. My dog will never be ready. She will be ready for local WMA stuff but I want a great dog for this trip. Too many other dogs and distractions going on.

We have Sunday Nov 2nd reserved. I still haven't sent the deposit yet though. Once I get payment from 20 people I'll send a deposit off.

Don't you think it would be disrespectful to the farm to basically say, "we're hunting your grounds and would like a nonpaying person bring their dog... even though you have lots of great dogs and guides for hire." I just don't think it's right
I don't think so, but thats me! Besides, between this group, on one day alone they will make $4,800! I don't think it would be disrespectful at all for that kind of money to ask if a buddy could bring his dogs but not hunt.

I stopped at the bank yesterday and cashed all the checks that have been received to date. I'll be sending a deposit out to Gibersons by the end of the week.

I can't wait for hunting season to roll around either. I passed on a cruise to Alaska next month just so I have some vacation days left over to use in October and November. I would have gone on the cruise, but only if the dogs could come with me and we could do some ptarmigan hunting.

Huh... I did not know that IL allowed deer hunting on Sunday. Good luck jr The NJH towershoot was scheduled for a Sunday just because it would be a guaranteed off day for NJ bow hunters.

ok am i reading this right maybe not but During a tower shoot thay release pheasant's out of a tower and The tower has stations around it the bird fly's out of the tower to someones station and thay shot at it Exactly where is the  fair chace in that i know there is no fair chace  in shooting a  canned deer  so where is it in a canned tower shot  am i rong but  shooting a deer in a pen or shooting a  Sitting rabbit or shooting a pheasant that some one Through out of a tower is NOT hunting or fair chace   so don't call it that it's a canned hunt i know i will get some sh#@ for saying that but big deal FAIR CHACE IS FAIR CHACE AND A TOWER SHOT IS NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  A SPORTSMAN HUNT'S FAIR CHACE ALL!!!THE TIME if i had stations around a field  with hunter's at them and i let caged deer go in the field for the hunter's to shoot at is that a canned hunt i would say yes a lot of you have a lot to say about canned deer hunt's but say nothing about a canned tower shot

if you try lets see how many you get and what you pay and see if you thinks its fair?

thus the second fair chase HUNT in the afternoon with dogs.

I don't know if anyone teold you but deer don't fly... big difference..

and as for no fair chance in shooting a canned deer hunt I went with some one on a hunt, just to take video... it was one hell of a lot harder than I thought.

Game preserve.. bird hunt... given the land situation in NJ, game situation in NJ...

I love the tower shoot followed by dogs in the afternoon.  Makes for a very enjoyable day, reminds me of hunting with my club... socializing, hunting....

Bow season, is different type of hunting... really enjoy the challenges I face during that season.

I also like fishing in both a trout stocked lake and in a trout stream..

I can't wait for the bird HUNT!!

I shoot more birds on the walk (with dog) afterwards then I shoot during the towershoot itself. If it was canned then it would be the opposite. Canned hunt is supposed to be easier wouldnt you think.

How about you come along seedog and see how many you can hit? The bird has no string on it's leg so as soon as its in flight it is free.

If the bird is missed then the dog follows up to find it and hopefully it flys again and bang its down.

You have some funny ideas. I herd they are a lot of fun and never been on one but how your thinking is a a little strange to me.
