Does anyone have new information regarding the cabelas store in the meadowlands There is no visible signs of a typical cabelas store under construction. Do you think this can be the new building.

That's my guess based on the external colors. __________________ Treat fellow hunters the way you would like to be treated.

Another two years of construction was added to the complex last year.

I hope it happens, but I just cant see the guns and ammo section. I bought a gun at the Hamburg store last summer, they handed me the gun as I walked out the store. Can you really see that happening in East Rutherford? ![]() __________________ FBO

I drive by there 5 days a week. I think the Green building will be the Cabelas. Any day I expect to see the Cabelas Sign go up. __________________ >>>---> Shut Up And Hunt >>>--->

I think the green part of the complex is Cabelas. Personally I believe the store will be a dump after awhile because of all the kids and dirtbag parents who will be touching all the mounts, gang members from Newark and Paterson gawking at the guns, and teenagers hanging out there with nothing better to do. __________________ NRA Life Member

| Personally I hope it doesn't happen anytime soon. Once it does then you'll be paying tax on any items you mailorder from them. | ||

I can see the local cops giving us a hard time about a firearm in the vehicle. Many of the cops in NJ have no idea about our firearm ID and rifle permit laws.
I hope it opens up, it's closer for me than Hamburg. __________________ FBO

I could drive a golfball two or three times and be in the Cabelas parking lot from my work. But I still wish they don't follow through cause of all the traffic and the tax that I'll have to pay on shipping. __________________ "There is wonder in every day when you connect with the outdoors and the life that is wild and free. | I don't know if it's true or not, but I heard the construction has been delayed because of licensing problems associated with the store being able to sell guns in the NJ. This wouldn't surprise me at all in this crappy state! | ||

Just thought of something
I hope they don't do as Walmart, Kmart, and Sports Authority to name a few have done in these Suburb areas around N.Y.C., They don't carry any hunting related items and the ones that do only carry a very, very limited amount of nothing a hunter would really ever need or want anyway
If they open this store and carry a extremely limited hunting section as most store in this area are doing that will really suck for us guys in New Jersey as we will have to still order everything hunting related from the internet and catalogs but now we'll have to pay tax as well as shipping charges on everything from Cabelas ![]() __________________ Support those who fight for YOU

the tax that I'll have to pay on shipping. Pick it up in person and you'll save money on the shipping.
I only order certain merchandise from their catalog. Most of the items I buy I like to see them first hand, especially when it comes to clothes and footwear. |

Hamburg has a nicer back ground than north jersey! Maybe so but won't you have to have a tanker to get you there? 3 weeks ago I paid 4.00 per gallon accross the street at shell up there while going to Pottsville. Can only imagine what it is this week the gas prices there. I guess oh you got the loot to go to cabelas well then pay up at the pump chump.

Sad how people look at things. Great store like Cabelas coming to this state creating work for hundreds and some people can only see bad things.
I for one can't wait! The store and and the area will do just fine and for us that live close, finally a toy store for big kids close by. |
