Ill believe it when it happens, Cabelas is in for a big headache when they deal with Nazi-Jersey on the sale of firearms and dont think "THEY" will be pushing even harder for gun laws ill still stick with mom and pop shops

I have a contractor working for me in New Brunswick who has also been working at Xanadu.  He told me on the way home tonight that they pulled the plug on the project.  When he left me yesterday, he was getting ready for a concrete pour tomorrow.  Not now.

Anyone hear anything?

Personally, I would prefer to keep Cabelas in Hamburg, but it's a shame to think of how much time and effort has gone into that project.  Hopefully they put a new coat of paint on it before they leave.

I heard that the Cabelas is not gonna think about opening until 80% of the stores in xanadu are leased right now only 40% are. They are also pissed that Bass Pro Shops signed a promise letter with the city of Bellmawr.

I heard a few rumors;

1. Cabela's downsized from 185K sq. ft. to 100K sq. ft.
2. With 100K sq. ft. they wanted to house 600 guns for sale.
3. NJ rejected the 600 gun permit and only approved for 300.
4. Cabela's told NJ, "OK, then we will only build a 50K sq. ft. store and employ half the size of the intended staff".

Don't know if any of this is true ... as it came from a conversation I had during a cold firing line.

If anyone can confirm or discredit any/all of this, please don't hesitate.
