Thats definetly him. Those brows give it away. He is 3.5yo and unfortunately, not a shooter. But he should sprout into a heck of a shooter at 4.5yo.

That stupid honeysuckle cage makes me angry. I cant wait to see it covered in lush, green honeysuckle.
Bri, your 2.5yo are holding good size. Some of mine are alot more skiny. You must have a good mast crop this year on Johns farm. You should see some major antler growth. I was thinking about that buck we hung that set for today, I figure that there was a mature buck in there a few years back. Now, his sattelite buck has taken over, which may only be a 3.5yo buck. However, that 3.5yo buck is tending ALL of those doe ?!?! No way. I think I figured out how and when the mature buck cruisies through and where he is bedded. I'm short on trail cameras and with those 4.5 or 5.5yo's walking around the other area, I'd rather not move that camera. I think I could use an old flash camera there without spooking them....??? __________________ When a gun-hunter sees the animal he wants- the hunts over. Bad idea flash cameras are bad news. I would take the flash bulb out. Dave can show you how to do that. Or put some red translucent tape over the flash. Deer are not frightened by red light. I really want to walk the "bruiser spot" with you. That looks much more promissing than where I helped you hang that stand today. I've noticed with the flash cams you will get a big buck on film and he will never come back where as with the infared as you can see the bucks come back every day provided you don't check the camera too often and you do your best to keep the area scent free. __________________ EAT SLEEP HUNT Make your dreams a reality. I had the red tape on it until last night, took it off because it was holding moisture in.
Dude, I really think I may take a metal fence section and funnel the area that this monster is walking. I have stand shung for him and his partner in crime already, but I really want my brother to stick him. Could you imagine his first deer ever being a 160" whitetail ?!?! I have been spending alot of time in the area that this buck lives. Mowing grass near the feeder, hanging sets, cutting lanes, loading the feeder. I want to get in there NOW, hang one last set and double up the sets I already hung, load the feeder, refresh the minerals, pull the memory card and be gone until bow season. Access to these stands is TRICKY !! But we'll get on him. __________________ When a gun-hunter sees the animal he wants- the hunts over. Bri, should we try and do some trophy rock and bag-r-buck prizes ?
We wont be able to participate in teh contest then, since we are prostaff..Conflict of interest, maybe ? I wasnt going to participate anyway, have no desire to post photos of my bucks online... What do ya say ? When is that pallet of trophy rock comming ?
