I am not 100% positive but I think I remember a CO saying only one or the other can be brought into the woods with you at a time.

Your right it is. what would be the sense of having to plug your gun if you could use more than one..

I always thought about bringing a fishing rod while duck hunting or a bow or gun while ice fishing.

A creative option is to put two guys in the blind with a bow and a gun and only have one be the actual shooter.

You have always been allowed to bring a muzzle instead of a shotgun during shotgun season. His question was if he can bring a bow and a shotgun out for turkey and hunt with both weapons at the same time.  Only way you can legally do that is with two hunters.  For instance I bring you out hunting with me you film for me and you bring your gun and I bring my bow.  If the turkey doesn't come within bow range the I would shoot the turkey with your gun.  Just an FYI if you want to hunt with the muzzle during shotgun season you have to be in possesion of your rifle permit.  It has never been legal to hunt for turkey's with a muzzleloader though.  I guess you technically could with a muzzloading shotgun but most are not set up to throw a pattern to ethically take a turkey at any range past 20 yards.

I was always told 1 gun or 1 bow not 1 gun and 1 bow Never muzzle loader and shotgun on stand at the same time. You must choose

Page 31 in the rule book says you may carry a Muzzleloader and shotgun together into the woods when the seasons overlap and you have the proper permits

I had a coversation with a CO this past fall/winter and she said the only scenario that allows for two weapons/firearms at the same time is a shotgun.  Period.  It must have the same game load.  For instance a slug gun and a buckshot in the other.  She specifically said nothing along with a muzzleloader.  A bow cannot be used in any combination.  This is exactly the answer i received when I called the Northern Region office back in '01 with the same question.

than they should change the reg's in the book than, or she should be revised of new laws
