We should have a biggest sunnies contest for kids under 12 what do you thing. Take a picture and post the weight, just for fun and the kids are the winners because they get to go fishing.

actually if we wanted to newjerseyhunter.com could host a fishing tournament for kids at deer path park in hunterdon county...you could book the pond for a pretty resonable fee and the pond would be ours for  a certain time...

That is a great idea!  My kids had a blast fishing there last year.  My oldest would not stop talking about the catfish he caught.

I would like for them to make some more friends who like to fish too

I have no kids but would love to help out if U guys do it.
also if your interested I could set up a NJH.Com trout gig for the kids at pequest. tour first and fish for trout after lunch up at the education pond.
let me know we could try for a weekend in June.

i like the idea of the kids fishing contest.  i like the idea of a lake like deer park or something.  teetertown is good too. i usually take the kids to oxford furnace lake for sunnies.  i would bring my 3 kids.

Also, what about an age limit?  What's considered a kid?  12 and under?

Ok here is the scoop...

We can put a courtsey permit in to get the pond...I would need an exact number of people so i can put the permit in.  also there is a pavilion that overlooks the pond.  We can bring grills cook it up...NO ALCOHOL.  If we can prove that we are a non-profit organzation we can get the pavilion for like 35 bucks all day...As of right now thats what we can do...
