Rules

- Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass from NJ waters ONLY.

- 5 fish limit per week. 12" minimum length.

- Anglers must check-in their fish once every week with the necessary photos.

- Check-ins will be accepted no later than 11:59pm Sunday of each week. No exceptions.

- Once you have checked in for a weekly period, you can not add or "cull" fish for that week. This will cut down on excess pictures and posts in the check-in thread. (In other words, you get one post to put your five fish in for that week, so dont post till you're happy with your bag)

- ONLY ONE photo of each bass and the angler must be posted for points. Exception: If the bass is of questionable size, a second photo of length measurement is required.

- Accurate measurements to the nearest quarter inch must be listed for EACH fish. Length (tip of lower jaw to center of tail) and girth (measure around fattest part of fishes belly) measurements are both required.

-Fish of questionable size (ie: less than 12" must be pictured with a ruler, measuring tape, or measuring board.

- All anglers must use the Mepps Fish Calculator to convert their measurements into an estimated weight. No other scales or fish weight calculators are permitted.

-Live bait may be used by anglers age 12 and under. Anglers 13 and up may only use artificial lures.

-Catch and release only. Let the bass go so they can grow. If its really huge, get lots of pix and spring for a reproduction mount, it will last forever and lets that lunker live to see another day.

--------------------

Good luck to all our contest anglers!!!

Bump with some important information.

First an update on the prize for the winner. Make sure you take good measurements and pictures of those big fish ladies and gentlemen because Carl from All Game Taxidermy is donating a reproduction mount of the overall winners biggest fish.

Next, something has come up that I will no longer be able to run this contest. I'm asking that someone with time and discipline in keeping up to date on the scores please step in and take over for me.

Thanks and good luck! ---Matt

sounds like a decent idea...i lost the first 5 pounder ive had on this year so uhh..sure

JK

Is everyone ok with me leading the weigh in? Anyone can help but its a fun contest, so if you wanna cheat go ahead..but ive got some good math so dont mess with me

Hunter12 has agreed to help out, I think most people can do this themselves just at the end of each post put your total weights. Ill take a glance at them and make sure everything looks ok..obviously if you go from 10 pounds to 100 pounds in a week something fishy is up

I saw a 5-6lber cruising around..looks like she would gobble up the brookies that were swimming near her. A little roostertail didnt entice her though. Ill be back after trout season for her..trout swimbaits?
