This is what is needed to get your points. I also posted some simple rules.
1. ONE picture of the fish at the location of where it was caught and it must be posted with your screen name and the date. Try not to post a picture of a fish on a fillet station at your house. It may cause some people to think it was not caught on the beach. 2. A ruler MUST be used to get max points for a fish and to qualify for the bonus length points. 3. There is NO limit on the amount of fish submitted. 4. Try and post results as often as you can. Don't wait and post results for 5 days worth of fishing in one day. Here is the scoring. Blues - under 15= 5pts 15&up =10pts Striper - under 28 = 10pts 28 & up = 20pts Fluke - 0-17" = 10pts 17& up = 20pts Weak - under 13= 10pts 13&up = 20pts Tog(blackfish)-under 14=10pts 14" & up=15pts Winter flounder-under 12=5pts 12"& up=15pts Black Drum- under 15=10pts 15&up=15 pts Junk fish =Robins, cow nose ray, Dogfish, Skates, sandsharks = 2pts Bonus points will go as follows for the end of the season. Longest bluefish=25 bonus points Longest striper=25 bonus points Longest fluke=25 bonus points Longest weakfish=25 bonus points Longest tog=25 bonus points Longest winter flounder=25 bonus points Longest black drum=25 bonus points NO bonus points for junk fish The contest is 5 dollars to join. The money will be used to get a gift card(visa,amex) for the winner. Slid over to Staten Island just as the rain slowed up today (5/20/08). I managed (2) large bluefish from the bulk-head on surface plugs just before dusk. Had (2) other cut off's. Sorry there is no ruler in the pix (didn't have one) but the rod is a 8' St Croix so you get the idea. I estimated the blues to be approximately 30" long. Overall a good afternoon and I couldn't let pv216 have all the fun. Good luck to all in the contest.
