Ken, the bottom left isn't the one you were chasing though, right?  The one you posted cam pics of earlier this year.
Posted:  05 Mar 2008 12:17 PM
Nope, he is still alive. This buck came from not too far from there. The sheds on the  bottom right are from the one in the cam pics. If he don't get hit by a car he should be nice next year

What did you measure him out at...the sheds?  You were thinking he'd push 140.  Not quite that big, right?

130s out of the Mill is solid.  Shame you have to wait until Permit Bow to hunt bucks next fall.  Maybe that shed buck will grow a bit more and you'll have him lined up for then.

they match pretty close to the 137 so I would say net 135ish

I have a guy in this area I hunt that has a large horse farm. I did some work for him and he gave me permission to shed hunt on his property. His wife likes to watch the deer and feeds them. I stopped in the other day and showed him a pic of the buck I took winter bow. I also told him that he came in with another which was bigger. I described the rack to him and he said he's seen it in his yard. He just called me and said he found the deers sheds and I can have them. I'm heading out now and I'll post some pics tonight.

I just got back from picking up the sheds the farmer found. It was definaley the other buck I saw. The acorn point is what I remembered. The buck isn't as big as I thought I fiquired it to be close to 150" I guess the sticker points made it look bigger. Tell me these two are not relatedhttp://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii208/bowhunter444/0233.jpghttp://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii208/bowhunter444/026-1.jpghttp://i265.photobucket.com/albums/ii208/bowhunter444/027-1.jpg

Just scored the second set of sheds out. With a spread credit of 16" they score 143 2/8 net non-typ. Not bad for public land

That's a great buck no matter where you hunt, public or private.  If he was running with the buck you shot in winter bow, maybe you'll have a chance at him next year, if he stays away from the cars.

They are sweet

Tom that's one of the keys is to see the other stands when you walk about a spot and then figure out how to use them to your advantage since they already are in place. deer has to come from somewhere and go somewhere other than going by those stands or there would be no deer left to shoot at.
