I'm driving this morning and in the same spot where I have been seeing birds I see about a half dozen in the grass off to the side of the road. All of a sudden I see something in the middle of the road. It's a jake in full strut . He was about 15yds away from the other birds. I slowly approached thinking he would move but he didn't. He strutted off to the passenger side front door, and when I beeped the horn he gobbled . He kept it up until a school bus pulled up adjacent to me. When the bus pulled up he ran off into the grass with the hens. Dopey bird- he's going to end up road pizza.__________________ When Guns Are Outlawed- Only Outlaws Will Have Guns

I had a conversation with a grouse one day before legal shooting light. He sat there in the road while I ideled next to him. Told him it really wasn't a good place to be, but he just looked at me. I didn't want to be late for pheasant hunting so I left him sitting there. __________________ NRA Life Member
