Does anyone hunt there?  I was wondering about access, is there a permit required to hunt there?

I don't think you need a special permit anymore. When it was first opened to deer hunting you needed a special permit from PSE&G but now I think you just need the proper permits for that zone.

I never hunted it but I looked into it when it first opened up for deer hunting. I think there are two dedicated parking areas. Good Luck. I hear it gets a lot of pressure.

I hunted it years ago and you needed a permit from PSE&G and had to put a tag on your stand.

As of 2 years ago it was on other hunting but deer & you still have to call them. I think they contact hunters for clean up days that hunt the previous year.

you dont need a permit for anything but trapping, its just like a WMA but its illegal to drive it.  Used to be good but clubs hunt it now and push deer over to the privite ground for the most part.  Same goes for turkeys, lots of people first week then the birds leave or get call shy and leave it for the most part. Also a lot of rabbit hunters during bow seasons which can mess things up.
