6 pointer out of my tent with black powder.
these two six pointer during 6 day.
and after seven weeks i finally got this guy to come during daylite hours and while drawing back my bow he made me. all hunts were filmed. i think i did well this year and thats because for the first time in 5 years my coyote dens were empty. __________________ Take your video camera with you, make the hunt last forever.

none, first time in 8 years no deer out of 21, got some big ones on the camera but never conected. modman where do you hunt in double trouble? I'm over by the old girl scout camp, some rather large buck in double trouble. lots of elbow room to. I think the park now has around 12 thousand acres, was 9 a few years ago, they bought the cranberry farm off of dover rd. which is a big chunck of land. __________________ "The outdoors was a school that all native sons attanded" Merce Ridgway

| another year of passing on deer in zone 21. the herd is so beat up i let em walk. i didnt see any real good bucks . i boycotted the extended bow season and muzzleloader permit. it was tough not hunting my favorite grounds during the rut but i did get a buck out of zone 4. the deer herds are much better up there for sure. | ||

I think it depends on the habitat you hunt in 21, I hunt where I do not because of a lot of deer but I know there are some quality deer and there is a lot of habitat, swamps, uplands, abandoned blueberry fields, oaks, laurel thickets. I hunt on the eastern side of 21, all pine barrens type habitat, I'm shure if you hunt in the north west and western edges of the zone there are higher numbers due to better habitat, the pine barrens has never been know to have very high numbers, higher in the past but not out of this world. I can hunt zones with more deer but in most of the places you can see houses out of your stand. I like to hunt big woods. __________________ "The outdoors was a school that all native sons attanded" Merce Ridgway

| zone 21 is big. if you hunt the edges of the developments your getting what i call pocket deer. these deer are more easily found and easy to pattern.many of these houses have feeders in the back yards.since the state hasnt managed any of the lands with growing winter feed guess where they go. for instance just drive the pasedena road at dusk and you will see deer crawling around the houses and horse farms. these areas act like magnets for the deer and i suspect it pulls them from the deeper woods that i love to hunt. i grew up hunting the big woods and love it. | ||
