This reminds me that I do have one good thing to say, my friend lost his brandy new hot seat in zone 3, someone brought it out of the woods and stuck it on a tree in the parking lot, I found it the next day. Thanks to whoever did that, and shame on you whoever did this...

Looks like someone is trying to scare a theif into returning stolen gear.

Its shallow, but it happens. Wish it were different.

I found a stand on my private property in Z 16. Left a note with a phone #. The guy called and said he's been hunting there for 15 years. Told him he's been trespassing for 20 years and to remove his stand. He's gone.

Great Idea (true or not).

Any way we can use oil-based paint?

oh its true and it works ya just need a branch above your stand to hide the grenade which can be purchased at paint ball supply store. the reason i know it works cause as i was deactvating it i had the wire too tight and i set it off, fortunetley knowing what was about to happen i minimized the amount of saturation by spinning around the tree

I leave stands and trail cams in the woods on public property all the time.  But before I do I engave them with my dremel tool... I put on my name and town I live in so if anyone steals them, they are going to have a tough time reusing them again in front of thier buddies.

i do the same thing as aftermath, i put my name address, phone, etc on my equipment. does it matter? i don't know but at least if someone steals it they know who they are f_____in with, now we just need to find out who is stealing from us so we can settle this.
