NJ Hunter / New Jersey Small Game & Waterfowl Hunting / Small Game Action / Northern / Some J&G Preserve in Hackettstown Action (pix)
Posted:  13 Jan 2008 8:36 PM   Last Edited By: Dragthor
Here is some J&G Preserve action in Hackettstown today with MikeP, George (son-in-law no gun still needs to take the safety test), Frankie (dog), and Lady (dog).

I missed two cockbirds and a chuckar.  However, I did manager to bag a hen bird and three chuckar.  MikeP missed a couple in the beginning because he had "his gloves on"... LOL... well after he took them off he started drilling them.

Thanks for a good day guys (and doggies).

Kris,
How do you hit chukars and miss roosters?
Those little beggars really move!

No, that cannon is too heavy to carry trying to keep up with Frankie.  I wish Frankie (the dog) moved a little more at the pace grandpa (Frank) used too.  I think their non-stop passion for chasing birds is about the same.

I am taking the Model 12 goose hunting this weekend, first time I've had it out of the case.  I figure the choke is so worn out I can just point it in the sky and pull the trigger.

You wouldn't believe... but it messed me up a couple of times.

MikeP, remember that one cockbird along the powerlines that I missed/couldn't get a shot at?  Its because I had my camera around my wrist.
