To answer everbody's ?s you can't take antlers off of a deer legally unless you use a buck tag.  If it is a road kill you can apply from the town for a road kill permit but you can't keep the horns it is also illegal to take the antlers off of a road kill buck.  If you find shed antlers in the woods that is a different story as shed hunting is legal.  But if you find antlers with skull cap intact nothing you can do legally

Ohhh, you would be surprised. Our very own Frank Ruggerio, slammed on the breaks whipped into my cousins  driveway and read him the riot act, because he had a shed he had just found sitting on the hood of his truck.
