this time of the year most deer are nocturnal. after being hunted all season and cold weather they will conserve energy and bed most of the day. i would keep tabs on him through scouting and you may have a chance at him next year for about a 2- 3 week period beginning of november.

Great buck... but no.. I dont think there are ANY I repeat ANY deer that are strictly nocturnal. A big buck will get up and move in daylight... He may only move 100 yards max getting up feeding around bedding around again close by... but if your in or near his bedding area he could wander by.

they see flash and sennse danger.. will visit bait a few times than disaper...from what i hav seen if you get a nice one i=on cam on bait. take th camera out an pu it on a trail to or fro
