| Anyone know anything about the new gate at the end of stevens road in west milford. It looks like someone installed an electric gate to block off the acess from union valley road. As soon as you leave the pavement there is a new gate. I am wondering if it is a legal gate, who put it up and why. Stevens road is also the acess road for the fire tower. I used to drive up and park up top and go into the woods I wonder if I will be able to do that anymore? | ||

On the map it looks like the road also connects to Clinton Road, although from the satellite that looks like a mistake?

| From Union valley rd it goes up to the top of the mountain. There is one house up there. Then its pretty much just a fire road the state has it posted for NO motorized vehicles. So you can walk it to clinton. I know years ago people used to drive in. You could go almost to clinton rd with the right vehicle. I used to walk to the top of the mountain from union valley. Nothing like a mile or so walk up that hill in the morning with all your hunting gear strapped on your back then you get up top by the fire road and see someone in a jeep drive by. | ||
