buck, I would go as far back as you can into the swamps, wear high boots the water is somewhat high now.

Wear Waders if you have them its VERY wet where the deer have been pushed to

yeah believe it or not that is a good suggestion about the waders, i should have at least worn my hip boots when i was back there with Pakman this past week.

was lucky last year to hunt in an area off alphano road.  was told about this little honey spot right off rt 80.  was able to take a nice spike and also come across the complete shed of a ten pointer.  this place was also under water. just cant seem to keep off paddy dikes.

If you go to the old barn where the do the hunting tests, you'll see the swamp to the south of the barn. That swamp is bordered by a wide cedar thiket with good trails. The deer bed in the island hammocks in eth swamp-You'll need waders to get back there, but there are good deer. As for hyper-humus-you will absolutely need waders for that one. it's all swamp

tried whittingham and it was very bad.  nothing but rocky boot tracks, danners and dog and bear tracks in the snow.  not one deer track. wind played a part in that day. great day to fly a kite. tried white lake and found deer droppings in all the funnels, fields but no deer.open for suggestions any place in zone 5. going out tomorrow, just cant figure where to go.
