Over near Parvin State Park there is a place called the Buck Stop, he does very good work with chip steak. Nicely packaged and very reasonable on the price too. He's about 15-20 minutes from Glassboro. I think there is another guy just off Rt. 77, north of the Pole Tavern circle, which would be closer for you but I have never used him. PM me if you want more details and I'll get them to you.

Have you ever bought Steakum's? You know, the stuff you make steak sandwiches with. Same thing, just slice the venison very thin, throw it in the pan with some olive oil and minced garlic, a little black pepper, maybe some sauted onions, frying peppers, mushrooms, top with good ole (white ) American cheese till it's melted through and scoop on a good long roll. Doesn't get much better. I go through 20 pounds or more of that stuff a year.

Sliced thin like chip beef or a tad thicker to make steak sandwitchs. They are to die for and I've feed all sorts of pains in the butts when it comes to picky eaters and they raved about it.

Just like you make hot roast beef for game day, well you do it with the chipped steak and they will love you for it.

Seems like something I gotta think about next season to add to the list of "GOODIES"

You have to be careful and ask specificly how they are because I have experianced minute steaks the butcher said was a minute steak and it was thicker than the chip what I really wanted. I go to one guy who does it in the actual chip way that is sliced very thin and puts them in little baggies and I can get 2 sandwichs out of 1 bag.

Definately going try some chip steaks. For all those who butcher your own, a slicer is a great investment. Also comes in handy for Roast Beef and Turkey leftovers. Thanks for the info men.

I have a commercial slicer.  If you'd like, you can bring whatever you want to my house and we'll slice it up.  I can make it thin enough that you can see through it if that's what you're looking for.  All I charge is a 12 pack of Miller Lite...

I'm in Runnemede.  Let me know.

For what you'd pay to get chip steak made once or twice you could buy a slicer and do it yourself.  Just de-bone and trim the meat then put in the freezer for 15-20 min to firm up and run thru a slicer.  I've been doing my own for years and the slicer I have was only like $50-60.
