Do foxes usually travel the same route everyday when they are hunting? Ive seen the same one around 8am 4 times now. This morning had a perfect 30yd broadside shot, but passed with the muzzleloader. I wanna get him with the shotgun. __________________ DUPONT #24,LOWES #48

I believe that both foxes and coyotes have certain "mousing" routes that they reprise daily. Of course, they hunt bunnys and squirrels too. In the snow, their tracks can be seen to take straight line headings from thicket to thicket. Once in the tangles they wander a bit scenting for mice and trying to jump something bigger.
The bee line path taken by the coyote is a factor that distinguishes coyote tracks from those of a dog of similar size. Dogs weave around everywhere as they go through the woods - piddle here and there - and seldom trot a constant heading. __________________ Helping deer go up the food chain since 1979.
