I have been taking my son to a place in the Green wood forest WMA not to far from Barnegat and sitting watching some corn we have been putting out. They tear it up at night and I know of atleast one day they came during the daylight. We have sat 14 hrs the last two open days with nothing seen. Very frustrating. Other trips we have done some slow stillhunting through the woods but all I see is flashes of white butts up ahead, just can't seem to get one to stop within range.

saw some tracks out in greenwood quail hunting..fresh tracks since there was the heavy rain. my dad drove around while I was out there and only saw 5 deer.

ive been out the whole season, bucks still nocturnal
but the does are starting to move during the day more.i cant believe how much buck sign there is, seems to be a scrape in every opening. i seen a large amount of deer on the parkway in barnaget more than usual.maybe there grouping up at there feeding areas.the helicopter training over by bloody ridge road is really annoying this year.i had one come directly over my head with its skids to the trees. i almost crapped my pants. the forest service just plowed all the wide fire lanes now you can really see were the deer are crossing.
