WELCOME TO THE 2008 NJH "Indoor/Online" Winter Archery League! We will be shooting the "Vegas" face, 300 round for this league. After we finish the Vegas league, we will consider doing a 5 spot league. Theres usually a great deal of interest in this, up until winter is over. 
We'll shoot for 8 weeks, your 6 best scores will be used. ------------------------ Official start date: Sunday, January 27th, 2008. 1st week scores will be due by Sunday, February, 3rd. 2nd week scores will be due by Sunday, February, 10th. 3rd week scores will be due by Sunday, February, 17th. So on and so forth. League will last for 8 weeks. We will use everyones 6 best weeks/scores. (One score submitted per week) *this allows you to miss up to 2 weeks and still be in the running. You can miss more weeks. This is simply a FUN league, so even if you only shoot one week, just have FUN!!! If you are shooting under 20 yards, please remember to resize the target for the distance you are shooting. (NO closer than 10 yards)!!! You must specify the distance you shot for each week/score *when posting the score. Feel free to submit practice scores until we get started! Most importantly: HAVE FUN!!! ------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------- Example of how to shoot and score a Vegas round. 10 ends of 3 shots each, for a total of 30 shots is one full round. Highest possible score is 300 for each round. Scoring: Starting from the center: the innermost yellow ring is the 10X, the next yellow ring is the 10, the third yellow section is the 9 ring. The first red ring is worth 8 points, the outter red ring is worth 7. The blue is worth 6. Any arrow outside of the scoring rings is worth 0. Arrows in the wrong spot are also worth 0. Vegas round: 1. 10 10 10 2. X X X 3. X X X 4. X 10 X 5. X 10 9 6. X 10 9 7. X X X 8. X X 9 9. 10 10 10 10. For now, I'm just posting last years rules and info, but I'll be updating this...Just getting it started...
Any thoughts on which target face we should go with? I'm thinking 3 spot "vegas 300" round...My shoulder has been terrible lately and I KNOW I cant make it through a 5 spot round. You can also use this thread to sign up...So let us know if you're in...

So everyone knows, this is a fun league that you can shoot at your own leisure in your basement, backyard, garage, etc...Wherever and whenever...
In the past though....we get a pretty good group out to Bordy's every Thursday night to shoot the league. If you've been there, you know what a blast that is...If not, you NEED to go there at least once and see what a great time we have! Dont be shy to sign up for this league either...We dont care whether you can shoot a 300 30x or if you shoot in the low 100's....Its all about having fun shooting and personal improvement. If we get enough trad guys to participate, we'll have a seperate category for you. The trad crowd has been weak though the past two years...Pretty much Mystic is the only one who came out to play. We can also do the youth divisions...but again, only if theres a demand for it. Wouldn't be fair if i shot with you guys. I wouldn't stand a chance. I can't wai for outdoor season to start up again. Farmer's with the boys and many beers afterwards is the way to go. __________________ Amateur's practice till they get it right. Pro's practice till they can't get it wrong.

Lincoln Parks Indoor league is starting up next week too.
If you can show up for a few weeks, without finishing the league, I may shoot with them a few times. Anyone else interested? Only thing is...my shoulder is in SAD shape this year...Its just getting progressively worse. Hopefully I can compete in both leagues and at least finish one of them. 
So who's gonna win this thing?
