Posted:  16 Dec 2007 9:40 AM
That the NEW state record Buck was taken off County line Road and Ridge road in either Lakewood or Howell Last week sometime during 6 day.. Not exactly sure where it was shot Like I said heard it through the grapevine.
Anybody else hear of this buck being taken??? And If so was it a hunting club or a single person hunting in the woods..... How big any pics????

County line does not go into howell. In know of a 12point taken by a stand hunter the last day 6 day in the area of ridge Rd. It is a great buck but no where near state record status. I would say high 150s gross with alot of mass.

I heard from a girl in my wife's office. Her B/F works on Ridge road and he said that the new state record was taken off of County line not sure exactly where but it was near Ridge road could have been in Howell or Lakewood.

like I said in my earlier post I heard it thru the grapevine. so he probably did too and got the story wrong.

TWO OTHER MONSTERS CAME IN TO OUR CLUB (OZARKS) KILLED BY LOCAL HUNTERS IN JACKSON. BOTH GREAT BUCKS BUT NO STATE RECORDS. ONE WAS A WIDE RACK I BELIEVE 10 PT PROBALLY 140'S KILLED BY A 16 YEAR OLD AND THE OTHER A HUGE NON TYPICAL 12 WITH 6 1/2 INCH BASES I WOULD GUESS AT LEAST A 150 CLASS
