Other then parts of Oakland and Mahwah, what opportunities exist in zone 36? Judging by some of the postings on NJH, it seems that most towns in Zone36 have no discharge laws.

Zone 36 is very suburban, but to find out alot more about it is preety easy ,i think i called almost every city hall and police staion ,and even though there are no discharge laws in some towns that you know of, i found out that some of them do have places to hunt. Some require you to take a simple test ,some  have few hunting aloud lots and and the rest is no discharge ,and some have very large state property that as long as you are in the safety zone you can hunt it and then there are some towns that as long as someone own a certain amount of land and with luck you might get permission to hunt it if you ask.Now i did my home work and since i am a generous hunter and helped alot of my friends get thier bucks ,but cant trust to many people and usally the firt post after this would be questions about town which are available to hunt .So the easy answear is and you will be surprised and excited at a few anwears that take a day ,make a few calls and you will find alot of places to hunt in 36 and there are monsters there so no more secrets form me .
good luck and safe hunting

Kinnelon cops made it seem like there was no hunting allowed in town.  I asked at the station.  Maybe they were trying to just discourage me, who knows..

BTW, I think part of kinnelon is in zone 6.

It is I guess you could say private as it is a UBNJ BY PERMIT ONLY HUNT, So you can not hunt in Mountain Lakes unless you have a Mountain Lakes Permit, It is A UBNJ MANAGEMENT HUNT FOR Members BY PERMIT ONLY and you must be a UBNJ member and have gone thru the permit prossess, signed up for the hunt, gone thru orientaion and qualification and have a permit to hunt in the area. Other Then That NO SORRY HUNTING

No Probllem
If you live in zone 36 Join the UBNJ and get in on the UBNJ hunts next season, it's a great hunt and being part of the UBNJ is a great way to help support archery/bow hunting and our hunting heritage here in the state of New Jersey

just went out to check my stand and put some corn out. stand still there, and the home made bucket feeder is 1/2 full. guess i need to make the bottom opening larger as not much corn falls out when i bump the stick.

Thanks, Didn't get it back yet, and by the looks of it may not till next season there are a lot of mounts before mine.
I will be up in my stand a few times later next week. Hope fully with the warmer weather we'll see them on the move. Last year around this time and after a good cold spell I shot a monster doe before I could even finish climbing up my tree, hope to have a repeep
