NJ Hunter / New Jersey Deer, Bear & Turkey Hunting / Deer Action / Deer Zone 4 / Zone 4 check in( How Bad Is The Wind ? )
Posted:  03 Dec 2007 12:29 PM   Last Edited By: Drop Tine
Anyone hunting up in zone 4 or hear from anyone out there on the weather and deer movement today?
We didn't make it out this morning was suppose to hunt in Z-7 with a friend, We're gonna go there tomorrow, getting ready to head up to Z-4 now gotta stop at the range and see why the muzzy is shooting so hight at 75 yards compared to last year if it's a scope bump I'll just dial it back in I guess, if not guess I'll be using my new 870 and 3 inch lightfields tonight, they shot great at the range the other day.

If anyone knows how the weather is wind wise up in the GAP Z4 area let me know not that it matters I'm heading there anyway.

GOOD LUCK EVERYONE THAT IS OUT AND GOING OUT SHOOT STRAIGHT AND BE SAFE.

Paul

Im in zone 3. Wind hits heavy gust's then stops all together. Few minutes later we'll get another big gust. then it stops again. It's not to bad here at all. No problem dialing in the scope between gusts.

Taking a lunch break zone 4 Stokes
No shooting going on, very few distant shots, I got a wet @ss. It was like pouring in the the woods, ice was melting big time, all morning.
Wind is not bad at all, it might pick up some in the afternoon, but nothing to fret about yet.

I think you may be right Jack

Anyway I never made there had to run to Ramsey outdoor store and wasted way to much time buying crap I don't really need
At least I ran into a member at the store that I met today for the first time even though we only live a town apart

Nice to finally meet ya SuperX,
After I left I was on my way to Z-4 when I got a call from my nephew, his car broke down in Paramus and he couldn't get it started. So I turned around and turned out to be a bad battery, oh well heading up to Z-7 in the morning then gonna sneak over to the Clinton range to get the ML back in line where it belongs. It's still good to go hunting wise just seems to be hitting to high after 50 yards, I think it was bumped and need to be adjusted down a bit

no didn't get to
got out on 80 just passed Parsippany and got a call from my nephew that his car broke down and he needs my help so I had to turn around

I'll see what I can do tomorrow over at the Clinton range in the afternoon, hopefully it's just an adjustment and not something loose in the scope.
