this will be a first for me. i'm gonna bowhunt tomorrow. i have a bow-only spot that is promising. i'm hoping to hunt it so i dont have to deal with crowds. But now i'm worrying about locals gun hunting it.

^ ^ ^ Thats terrible is the land by houses is it even safe for gun hunters?

go with the bow , there's heavy fog in flanders now. looks like it might stay around. gun hunters will be moving deer all over. be safe watch yourself if it's foggy in the am. __________________ Just when ya think ya knew it all, ya find someone who does know it all

WOJ,
If you are hunting somewhere between your house and mine, As long as its legal distance from houses or maybe not there is a good chance locals will be driving it out at some point. Remember just because you might not be legal distance from houses, they will have permission. Good luck wear some orange stuff... Plus, 450 ft with both so if you can hunt it.... So can they. If there is a good local turnout tomorrow, there will be deer all over the place. The last 3 or 4 years have been crappy opening days for some reason.. Missed a doe this morning. Just got back in and as I was climbing tree I just had 12 does walk by. That's a total of 34 does so far today. Plenty of shooting around this morning after 8am. Just a few turkeys pay a visit. __________________ Soccer-Mom Pro-Staffer

Just had a four ptr and five does walking gto me. Wind got squirrley and then smelt me. Went up and over. Forty deer day so far. Wind has picked up drastically. __________________ Soccer-Mom Pro-Staffer
