NJ Hunter / New Jersey Deer, Bear & Turkey Hunting / Deer Action / Deer Zone 50 / Opening Day 5 Pointer!

A little late but this past monday I shot a 5 pointer only a hour into the M/L season. We had four people in stands on the boarder of two fields and two guys driving the woods behind us th the fields. around 630 I had a doe walk right under the stand without me knowing until I spooked her. She ran 100 yards into the field and stoped and ate  for alittle while and walked off. around 700 I saw this buck limping into the field from behind me and stop where the doe was eating. he started to sniff around. I called one of my frineds that were driving and told what was happening. He told me they didnt even start to set the drive up yet they were waiting for better light. As soon as I got off the phone with him the buck was on the trail of the doe. I hurryed and grabbed my primos buck roar out of my bag and gave two short low grunts and one loud. The buck stopped in his tracks but than started to follow the does traild again I gave another loud grunt, he turned around and started to look in my direction. Two more low grunts later he was running right to me and stopped 50 yards in the field. I gave another loud grunt and he ran right to me and stopped right under the tree stand. I pulled the hammer back and fired. The smoke cleared and I saw him 40 yards away looking around I thought I missed than I saw him stiffin up and fall backwards into a ditch. I called my friend and as soon as he got done with the drive he came over and found the deer lying next to the stream. I got down from the stand and walked over to it and saw it was a nice five pointer. This is my firat buck ever!
