I caught this guy on one of my trail cams. I think it's a pine martin, but I'm not sure I didn't think pine martins live in NJ (smart animals) Any ideas?

looks a helluva lot like a fisher
wrong shape to be a groundhog, and the tails a little long too for that. would be a really odd colored mink or weasel, but I'm thinking that not either of those, hard to tell, but I'm guessing that that critter could go more than a couple of pounds, so that throws them out. body is a little on the stocky side for a pine marten, and the color again would be off I'm thinking fisher, because of body shape and coloration, and we have em in NJ. Pine martens wouldn't be out of the question here either, just noones fessing up to catching one yet. ![]() __________________ To kill a big buck, you're going to have to shoot a big buck

Still looks like a groundhog to me. The ears are kind of small for a martin. __________________ Linden Sportsmen's Rod and Gun Club

Now I'm not sure, if I squint my eyes and tilt my head I can see a cat. Could be stalking something. __________________ Linden Sportsmen's Rod and Gun Club
