i tie my boots up walking to the stand.

i untie them and loosen them up to not impede blood flow once i am in the stand.

the problem is when you walk in to your stand you work up a swet in your boots.get a thin pair of wick away socks and use a toe warmers always works for me ,i do know the make socks with pockets over the toes for warmers, but i think the wick away socks are the key

Wear a pair of wicking socks and then a pair of wool socks over those. Works for me.

I do not use thick socks.  Just a normal pair of socks and keep the tops of your boots laced (so you dont trip over them) but tied loose.  Maybe a pair of toe warmers and foot warmers will help too.  But the biggest mistake Ive seen people think is More the better, but actualy in this case less is better.  Your feet will not sweat causing them to get cold and a pair of cotton socks will let them have air flow

Get yourself a good pair of ruber boots at least 1500 thinsulate. Then buy a pair of socks that have a small pocket on top of the toes for a foot warmer. Do not put the foot warmer in till you settle down on your stand. I have never been cold since I started using this system. I have every boot you can think off.

For real cold days I have a pair of Rockys 1000 thinslate, one pair of sweat absorbing socks, then I put on the light socks with the pocket and I top it off with a pair of Marino wool socks. I actually toast in them, but with a good feeling.

My friend told me a little thing that i tried and it worked.  Put your hunting boots one without socks.  Walk to your stand get in your stand and still leave your feet in your boots without socks.  Then once your feet start to freeze put your socks on to warm them up.  Trust me it works.  Your feet get cold not because of sweat because they are being exposed.  Your feet will get warm once you put your socks on...

I got the Rocky Arctic Bear Claws with 1400 grams of insulation - my feet are the last thing to get cold.  Amazingly enough, I also wear them in the warm weather during off-season scouting and the feet don't sweat.

muck boots and wool socks.  If you're hunting back to back days, a boot dryer is great for getting the moisture out of your boots from the day before. You may also try putting a rubber backed carpet square on your stand to keep your feet off the metal.

Rocky boots may keep you warm but don't expect them to keep you dry for much more than a year or so.

What I did was got the ice breaker insulated boot blankets.  But I take my boots off and through 1-2 hand warmers in there and my feet with 1 pair of socks on and I can sit for hours with no problem.

my dads old trick was to put "mum" antiperspirant on the bottoms of your feet, your feet dont sweat and wont get cold.

Silk liners, a heavy pair of wool socks and boots. I have several different pairs I use depending on the temperature. Make sure they're not too tight. Sometimes guys put on extra socks and this only makes things worse by restricting circulation.

It was cold this weekend in NY and it was the first time I used the Icebreaker Boot Blankets.  They did the trick.  I have 600 gram thinsulate boots which were great for still hunting and walking.  But when you get in a stand for a couple hours they get a bit cold, but that is when you use the boot blankets.  Good combo.  I figure any more insulation in the boots and walking or still hunting would be too hot.

If you need something tomorrow, get some of the toe warmer heat pads.

UPS just delivered my ArcticShield Boot Insulators.
They're a little different than the IceBreakers Boot Blankets.  The ArcticShields are thin, and work by retaining and reflecting your own heat.
IceBreakers slowly let your heat out through the thick insulation, but the ArcticShields are supposed to retain your heat. (Stated on the package as 97% of body heat captured and returned).
They're only 8oz. and roll up to fit in your pack.  $52.90 delivered.  I ordered them Monday night from Cabelas, and got them just now. I'll let y'all know after Monday's muzzy all day sit how they work out.
