I remember a few years back a gun club hunted Stokes public land during the 6-day shot-gun.
They would sit opening day, and have drives the rest of the week. Very organized and successful if I remember. I think they hung out at Gyp's tavern. Are they still around? |

| If its the same club- yes. I see a guy and hs son every year christmas eav. They are members of the club. His son shot a great buck in 2001 that was a net 148 typical. They work hard and get deer every year | ||

I helped a guy from that club once track and kill a wounded deer that ran on my property, Then I drove him and the dead buck back over the mt. to where I guess he was staying.
He seemed like a good hunter. I know he appreciated the help. |
