NJ Hunter / New Jersey Hunting / Road Survey / 10 pt triple drop tine in Tinton Falls (pix)

Saw this guy around the corner from my house this morning. Got hit bad, multiple compound fractures on the back legs. He had 6 points on one side and 4 one the other. Nice big non-typical, i would estimate the weight at 200+ pounds, big deer. As I was taking pictures another deer almost got hit 40 yrds. down the road.http://i224.photobucket.com/albums/dd99/fredmon38/roadkill010.jpg

Jeezus, that is a crying friggin' shame.  it's just sooo tragic that a noble beast like that meets such an inglorious end

John you must be on the border of CN then...if he traveled over to Tinton Falls.

I also think if it's the same deer, he was bigger in last years pic than this years.  Possible last years is older and this was offspring?

Wow....what a bummer...

The rack of this deer looks smaller than last year, the buck must be past his prime. That must be one old buck.

Sorry to see / read this JR . I know we were all pulling for you to get this buck .

I am sure the antlers are gone by now but if not maybe pull him off in to the woods . Then make a call and explain the story behind the buck . I am sure you would be givin a tag and then can at least give JR the rack .

I at least hope some how you can get the rack John .

That one has got to hurt!  How far away from where JR got the pics was this deer hit?  Im always curious how far they go during the rut.

That and too many towns that forbid hunting.
I bet this guy got car-whacked in the no discharge zone.
