Thanks hetley 75. Any advice on the tree stand?
type? make? brand?  A few buds of mine suggested not using one , but not sure. Also, using estrous or some kind of feed? Worth it or not?
Thanks again for any help!

i would def. go in a stand because if they drive those deer are going to be coming at ya. you could always come down off stand. also iw oudl buy a climber, ita better to be able to take in and out with you then get it stolen. the one i would go with would be the summit viper ss. as for scents,i like a plain cover scent like accorn,or earth masking scent.

Fort dix is usually shot up by shotgun season. We have that week long muzzleloader season in early novermber and the deer usually get tore up.

The deer get pretty spooky come december but there are still a lot of them around. With all the driving goin you should sit tight some thing will finds it way past you. goodluck

muzzy definatley puts a hurtin I hunted this year and there was over 200 guys signed out everyday. dosent sound like much but they only open so much area to hunt. I had guys all around me. Your best bet is to see if they open an area that was closed but thats not likley. The numbers dont lie look at the harvest. Also you are not allowed to drive deer on fort dix so I dont know what everyone is talking about. It clearly says it the fort dix hand out NO DRIVING DEER. So if they are not moving good luck

Not allow to and doing it anyway is two entirely different things. i hunt 2 farms that border dix and see orange driving deer from my stand. We even caught a couple of guys roll through our farm at 7:30am just to get to dix.
