My seasons done, I fell at work a day before extended season. Been waiting for a couple of nice bucks on the property I hunt.....Guess they'll be around next year. As for now I'll just live vicariously through all of you. Good luck to all on the rest of your season.http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f98/tommcreary/McCreary5.jpg

oh man.,,,I'm sorry to hear about your injury.  And hear I was complaining about my fractured foot.  I wish you a speedy recovery  BTW, when it comes down to start doing physical rehabilitation, dont slack off on it.  That is the worst thing that you could do.  Good luck and hang in there

Well you loved up to your screan name

Too bad though-on the bright side, worker's comp should cover everything for medicals and you will likley get a nice permanency award out of teh deal-not to mention any possible lawsuit againt the property owner--sorry that's just the lawyer in me

My season and your season have been about the same but I broke my hand. I need to get surgery and have one of them brace things you have put on. Sucks I hunted 4 times during bow.

Ouch!  I have a plate, a few screws, and some pins in my leg about the same place from about 5 years ago.  It takes LONG time to recover so invest in some good books and pay the cable tv bill.

And, when you start PT  .... the PT on your therapist name tag REALLY stands for "Personal Terrorist"  .... but don't slack on it or you will end up with trouble later  ....  starting about 5 years later  ....

Best of luck for next year and now for a speedy recovery.

I'm sure it's painful and all, but I'm not quite understanding how all this would prevent you from dragging yourself into a forest and hand-over-handing up a tall tree and then dragging a big buck out of there using your teeth and a hi-lift jack?   Sounds like you were just looking for an excuse to stay home

I had the same exact injury 9 years ago, but it happened to me while climbing out of a stand. I stepped on a branch thinking it was a tree step and the force of the fall from 23ft. went entierly on my left foot.

The good news is that your ankle will heal, completely, even though that may seem hard to believe for you now. The only problem I've had is the range of motion my foot is capable of, but it hasn't really affected my walking or running abilitities.
The one crappy thing though is that the doctor told me I am developing arthritis in it and will likely need a joint replacement later in life. I'll deal with that when it comes as I am just happy I didn't end up paralyzed or worse.

I feel your pain and hope you have a speedy recovery!

Nasty injury man. I broke my ankle two years ago but was back hunting (in a boot) by the end of the season... and was out in colorado up and down mountains this past august... so hang in there, you'll heal and be back in the woods in no time.
