I took my video cam out with me a couple of week ago while hunting. I always wanted to video my own hunts.
The first thing I realized is it's NOT easy by yourself.
the second thing is I need to invest in a good shotgun mic to eliminate, or lower the camera handling noise.
Anyway, It was fun.

Awesome, seeing them is 1 thing but a video you can replay over and over. Great job, and yes it is tuff to do. I have 34 harvests on video from over the years.

Nice Mike!
Hey I know that spot!!! Haha

Actually where you and I scouted a spring or two ago, I ran into a neighbor of my buddy's that hunts back in that same area...he and his friend do, have been back there for decades.  Climber guys.  Small world, was funny to run into a guy that hunted back there.

Matt,
Welcome back.   Congrats on that nice buck.
I didn't even hunt back there this year. I had my cams out there during the summer, but it was very slow. not worth all the time and effort.

Mike..  one tip. When you video yourself keep your cam on manual focus. Put it in auto focus then zoom out about as far as you may be videoing. 25 to 30 yards max. then push the manual focus button. Everything from that point in will be in focus.

Sugar,
Thanks for the tip My camera was in manual focus.

I'll have to try that and see how it works
