My wife is working today so I'm on kid duty. I felt better when I looked at the trees bent over in the wind this morning.

I'm glad I picked a huge popular tree to climb with my stand.  It got gusty at times.

Saw 20 does and alot of small bucks (mostly spikes) who knows where the big boys went. I figure either:

1 The mature bucks are holding does in thickets to breed them.

2 The mature bucks arent chasing that much since they know the does aren't in heat yet.

3 They found other spots that they liked better.

I hunted and wished I had spent the time doing something else.  Sat from noonish till dark and saw nothing.

Saw only one deer on the walk in this morning on a turkey hunt.  Tons of sign which is promising.

After fly down, we didn't see another bird the rest of the day.

The way the wind was blowing, I thought I was seeing turkeys moving all day.  But it was just swaying branches and vines.  If I was prey, I'd be way out in the open so I could see a predator coming from 200 hundreds away.

Went out in the AM saw 1 small 8 point a little to far for a shot with the recurve.
PM differant stand saw 12 antlerless deer hald of which were with in my range and a cupcake of a 6 point that I had no desire to shoot. All in all a beautyfull day in the November woods (Saw deer No Ticks and no rain),so I'm easy to please.
