Is it private or public land. As I say when the rut is on you need to be there all day!!!
Posted:  01 Nov 2007 8:43 AM
Not only Rut activity will make deer move during daylight, but also increased hunting pressure will cause a mid day movement cycle-

the deer are used to hunting pressure at dawn and dusk-they shift their pattern to accommodate by moving mid day-Try a sit from 10:00 a.m to 3:00 p.m. late in the season, and especially during muzzy and gun season. you'll be surprised at the number of deer you see
